Strengthening the mind.

The mind is a powerful place. The mind picks up on all your experiences and stores more knowledge than any memory device in the world. One thought can change a direction. One action can change a result. Everything we ever do begins with a single thought from the mind that travels around the rest of your body and moves you in the direction you choose. One important thing to note is the link you have to have between the mind and the heart. People speak all the time about listening to the heart over the mind. I believe that isn’t the approach we have to take, I think your heart and mind offer two different perspectives on the same choice. The choice you believe is right for you.

I have been making many choices recently. Small choices, big choices and life changing choices. In terms of business specifically I’ve had to ask myself how successful I want to be. This question may come across as simple however there are many factors that are impact on my answer. I want to be successful of course but not financially. I want to be successful in how much I help people. In how much I impact someone’s life.

There are many ways to strengthen the mind. It is something that needs working on and developing.

  1. Find inspiration. Look for inspiration everywhere you go. To strengthen your mind look at the people who have strong minds. Look at what they do and why they do it. Find your inspiration. Find that motivating factor that will keep pushing you to work on yourself and work on your business. Inspiration comes in so many forms. Some more obvious than others but I guarantee you that like there are birds in the sky, there is inspiration everywhere you will look.
  2. Belief. To strengthen your mind you have to keep your beliefs strong. You have to unconditionally follow them and trust in them to guide you. That could include religious beliefs and also the belief in what you are doing and where you could go.
  3. Personal development. This is something I did not know about until I looked into business more. Every strong leader speaks the words of the leaders they’ve learnt from. If you know you need some sort of guidance then you have to go out and get it. Don’t sit around waiting in hopes that one day you’ll be enlightened with a bulletproof mindset. Read about successful people. Copy them. Take time out to focus on yourself because if you aren’t 100% sure about yourself, your talents and your flaws then how can you grow? How can you learn and move onwards and up? People spend years of their lives dedicating them to learn subjects they may never speak about again. Why not spend a few minutes a day learning how you can be the best version of yourself and dedicate those minutes to developing you.
  4. Being in touch with your emotions. People tend to think about emotions negatively when actually they can be your biggest motivator. People tend to shy away from feeling, especially when it is a not so good feeling. They ignore it. They hide from it. Some even try running away from it. We need to stop and realise that our feelings and emotions are not going anywhere. They set us apart from one another. They set us apart from other creations. If you push them away or block them then they will only get stronger and they will come back with such a force that it’ll knock you off your feet and the fight to jump back up will be harder than it ever needed to be. Also when we feel positive emotions it is our duty to exaggerate that emotion. Make yourself feel so good and so strong. Exaggerate it so it’s affects are felt by the people all around you.

There is so much I could say about your mind and how powerful it is and I will most definitely post again on this topic. First I want to read more and explore in more depth and only then will I write. I would never write about what I can’t implement into my own life.

“The mind is a powerful force. It can enslave us or empower us. It can plunge us into the depths of misery or take us to the heights of ecstasy. Learn to use the power wisely.”
